THORACIC REGION
(T9 - T12):
Injuries
at this level result in paraplegia affecting functioning of
the abdominal muscles.
Lower
T-injuries allow good trunk control and good abdominal muscle
control. Sitting balance is very good.
Individuals
with spinal cord injuries at all levels may experience dysfunction
of the bowel and bladder and sexual functioning may be affected.
Men with SCI may have their fertility affected while women's
fertility is generally not affected.
