Effects of Spinal Cord Injury
Spinal
cord injuries cause varying effects on bodily functions,
depending on the type and level of the injury.
There
are two types of injuries - complete and incomplete. A complete
injury means that there is no sensation or voluntary movement
below the level of injury. An incomplete injury means that there
is some function.
With
your mouse click on different sections of the spinal column
to see the effects of injuries at each level. The sections are
C1-C3, C4-C8, T3-T8, T9-T12, L1-L5, and S1-S5.
