The Case of the Legless Veteran by James Kutcher
Autobiography of a World War II veteran who was also a member of the Socialist Workers Party. The book focuses on his work with the left during the Depression, his military service where he lost both legs, and his employment with the Veteran's Administration. In 1948 he was accused of being disloyal to the government of the United States.
